Weekly Newsletter
29th November 2019
It’s beginning to look like Christmas, the children have been very busy this week dressing the Christmas tree and decorating salt dough decorations and making paperchain, which are now hanging in the home corner. Jane has many more fabulous things to make over the next week.
Eric the Elf may come and visit next week .
Keep Children Safe
School and Scallywags have had a fantastic response to our Keep Children Safe Campaign, we really appreciate all the positive comments.
We will continue to be pro-active over the coming weeks – and we ask if you can continue not to come onto the Car-Park at any time – Please don’t park on the zig zag or on the bend near the Black Bull – there are no yellow lines but cars should not be parked on blind bends – this may cause additional hazards. There is plenty of spaces up at The Barlow car-park if this helps.
Also please stay can we remind everyone to come into school grounds through the pedestrian gate and stay on the path coming and going out – Thank-you for all your support.
Christmas Film Night – Friday 6th December 6pm-7pm
Why not begin your Christmas countdown on Friday 6th December with Scallywags Christmas film night? Bring along a blanket and snuggle on down. There will be two short films, free popcorn and drinks for the children. There will also be a mini disco in between the films.
The cost is £3 per child (siblings are welcome).
Parents must stay and supervise their children – this is essential for the event to run smoothly – this event is run by Committee Volunteers and your support is much appreciated by everyone at Scallywags.
Cold Weather Clothing
The weather is getting cold and it’s very important that the children come with the correct clothing to keep warm– they need wellies – warm coat – Warm jumpers - hat and gloves – we are outside for at least 1 hour morning and afternoon.
Children off Sick – Holiday
A quick reminder that if your children are not attending nursery due to sickness or holidays to ring or e-mail on the 1st day of sickness. If you are going on holiday please let your key worker know and follow this up with an e-mail. Please be aware if the above is not done we will always follow the above with either a phone call or an e-mail – it is our duty to safeguard our children and very important we know where your children are.
Sickness / Diarrhoea (Norovirus) – Information
Please remember that if your child has been sick / diarrhoea – your child needs to remain at home for 48hours after the last episode of sickness or diarrhoea – these bugs spread very quickly and it is really important that the above procedure is followed. Thank you
