We are supporting World Book Day Share a Million Stories –we are going to link up with Yr5 children from School who will be coming in to Scallywags and read stories to groups of children. (From 2nd March -27th March)

Bedtime Story – Next Tuesday 3rd March 6pm

On Tuesday 3rd March at 6pm we will be holding our lovely bedtime story event. This time we have managed to secure the author Sean Perkins who is going to come along and read 2 of his own stories. Tickets for the night are £3 per child and siblings are most welcome. Please see a member of the Scallywag's team if you would like to purchase a ticket. Tickets will be available on the night however by purchasing tickets in advance it helps us to plan carefully for the event and raise as much money as possible for the nursery.

Also Sean will be selling his book that evening if you would like to purchase a personalised signed copy they will be available for £7.  If you cannot make the evening but would still like to purchase a book please see a member of staff who will give you an order form and take payment.

World Book Day Competition!

Are you ready to help the children share a million stories this World Book Day?

We want our little Scallywags to get involved in this year’s celebrations - which is themed around ‘sharing stories’

To enter the competition, you must submit a photograph of your Scallywag ‘sharing a story’ in their own individual way. This could be reading with a family member, their favourite toy, a pet.....or up a tree, in their den or tucked up in bed! There are no strict rules, we just want to see a photograph (recent or old) that highlights their continuing love of books!

The winner will win a personalised signed copy of ‘Oscar and Ben’ by Sean Perkins, and Sean himself will draw the winner at our World Book Day Bedtime Story on 3rd March 2020.

Entries are to be posted in the postbox next to the register along with your child’s £1.00 entry fee.

Please help support us and help raise some money to buy our children some lovely new stories to share together at Scallywags.
